Jordyn
Jordyn grew up in San Pedro, CA, within Los Angelesā€™s harbor region, where she witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of environmental pollution on communities of color. This experience sparked a lifelong passion for environmental justice and health equity. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Wheaton College (IL), majoring in Psychology and Theology, with a keen interest in environmental science.
Currently, Jordyn is a Maternal Child Health Bureau Trainee at UC Berkeley, where she is pursuing a Masterā€™s in Public Health. Her academic focus lies in understanding the environmental exposures that disproportionately affect prenatal and child health in marginalized communities. She is equally passionate about the intersection of digital health, innovation, and policy, which makes the Bay Area an exciting place for her to be.
When she's not immersed in her studies or advocacy work, Jordyn enjoys practicing yoga, taking long walks, engaging in synchronized swimming, and expressing her creativity through junk journaling. She also loves spending time with her cat, Sirius Black.
