Rev. Dr. Gerald Durley is the godfather of the Black Church Environmental movement. He walked with Dr. King in the Civil Rights Movement, was ordained at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, and is Pastor Emeritus of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church of Atlanta. Dr. Durley has worked with Jane Fonda and Rev. Sally Bingham speaking truth to power on environmental justice issues around the country and abroad. He currently serves as Board Chair for Interfaith Power & Light, one of the nation's largest environmental organizations for communities of faith.

Statewide Outreach Director at Faith in Place, Adjunct Professor and Co-Founder of the EcoWomanist institute.
GTC Honors Sis. Veronica Kyle on the occasion of her retirement from Faith in Place, the Illinois Affiliate of Interfaith Power & Light, where she directs outreach statewide. She created the Green Team Coaching program, which empowers groups at houses of worship to provide cooperative leadership to educate, connect, and advocate for healthier communities. At GTC we believe that Green Teams will be central to a successful movement in the Black Church and we salute Sis. Kyle for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Black community.
